Export regulations in Algeria
Prohibited Items
The following are goods which cannot be taken out of the country:
- Waste from ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Raw hides.
- Food products whose prices are subsidised by the State.
- Palm plants.
- Breeding sheep and cattle.
- Objects representing a national interest in terms history, art, or archaeology, including old vehicles.
- Raw or semi-finished coral.
- Used electrical appliances.
- Used furniture.
Restricted Items
These goods are strictly regulated, and in most cases require a permit to be obtained prior to departure:
- Up to 150 grams of gold may be exported.
- Up to DA3000 may be exported.
- Endangered species and products protected under CITES require a permit for export.
