Do Guyanese citizens need a visa for Chile?

Guyanese citizens do not need a tourist visa when travelling to Chile in 2023. Guyanese passport holders can stay in Chile for a short period of time (for 90 days). Please, read all the information below to make your trip easy and safe.

Chile customs rules

Duty-free allowance

Tobacco limit

  • Restricted to travellers 18 years and over;
  • 400 cigarettes;
  • 50 cigars;
  • and 250 grams of tobacco.

Bringing alcohol

  • Restricted to travellers 18 years and over;
  • 2.5 litres of alcohol.

Cash limit

  • Funds of more than US$10,000 or its equivalent in other currencies (including the Chilean peso) must be declared to Customs.

Other Goods

  • Non-commercial goods, purchased at duty free not exceeding US$500.
  • Goods for personal use.
  • Gifts not exceeding US$300 in value for each traveller over the age of 14 years. This is an individual exemption not accruable with that of other travellers.
